Abstract
Artistic Research and the Lingering Gaze of Thought
I will start with addressing so-called βnon-traditional research outputsβ. That will be an entry to say something more in general about the place of artistic research in academia and its possible alignments with other research fields. I then want to highlight four aspects of artistic research: the agency of practices and things; the importance of practice-based methods; the condition of knowledge, specifically 4E-cognition; and the articulation and publication of artistic research. I need those aspects in order to say something about discursivity and the role of language.
Format: lecture (about 40 minutes)
